Description
- Debmarine Namibia requires the services of a Wellness Manager
- The successful incumbent will develop and manage all employee wellness programmes with relevant Debmarine Namibia, De Beers Group of Companies (DBGoC) and Anglo-American policies and procedures to reduce the impact of psychological and physical diseases in the organisation
Duties
- Manages and promotes wellness strategic programmes to achieve the Company’s strategic business and overall corporate goals
- Manages the Company’s HIV/AIDS strategic programmes
- Executes and manages employee wellness initiatives
- Manages wellness related service providers contracts and recruits registered and qualified service providers for the wellness programmes
- Manages Medical Surveillance process for Shorebased and Executive employees
- Provides recommendations and support for medical disability cases
- Implements quality prevention and care interventions
- Manages and liaises with clinical disease management programme and medical aid, medical doctors, pharmacies to ensure that quality and efficient services are provided to the members
- Enforces zero tolerance of intoxication substances in the workplace and provide support
- Authorises, advices and arranges for efficient random testing and provide effective case management and maintain updated statistics
- Provides psychosocial therapy and recommend for further assessment, rehabilitation and other relevant interventions
- Investigates, compiles and manages research on health-related areas and impact of illness on Company and Country
- Recommends and oversees implementation of programmes to be tailor fit to Company needs
- Recommends and manages awareness of wellness and health training sessions, topics and materials
- Approves design and lay-out of health and wellness information, education and communication material
- Liaises with relevant committees and stakeholders to ensure sharing of updated and reliable IEC material
Requisites
- Bachelor Degree (Hons) in Psychology with HIV/AIDS certificate and a solid health knowledge
- 8 years experience of which 2 years should be on managerial level
- Leading and supervising
- Psychotherapeutic and Coaching skills
- Knowledge of health and safety act, and relevant health acts
- Knowledge of global HIV/Aids trends
- Knowledge of Namibian Labour Law
