Description
- TransNamib is the national railway service operator in Namibia, specializing in the transportation of bulk and containerized freight
- The company has embarked upon a programme to recreate the catalytically role of railway services to the Namibian transport and logistics system through the development of reliable and cost-effective movement of cargo in Namibia

Duties
- Plans, manages and coordinates the utility maintenance activities of the Company such as (water, plumbing and electricity systems) are economically utilized for the achievement of the Company strategic goals and objectives
- Resource Management

Requisites
- B Comm. degree or equivalent qualification plus a certificate in property real estates and should have passed the Namibia Estates Agent Board examination
- Six (6) years’ experience in utility maintenance management of which three years should have been spent at supervisory level in a large property management environment
- Excellent knowledge of commercial utility maintenance and basic legal aspects of tenant’s lease agreements, management, knowledge of the Local Authorities Act 23 of 1992 as well relevant legislations, utility maintenance rates and taxes, which includes expansion of systems, permitting, repairs maintenance, knowledge of utility facilities and construction layouts and safety precautionary measures
- Ability to analyze utility maintenance costs, analytical skills, good communication and negotiation skills, ability to maintain sound interpersonal relations, planning and accounting (short/medium and long term), ability to identify losses in utility, ability to work independently and ability to take multiple complex conflicting priorities, ability to and interpret tenant lease agreements
- Goal directedness, visionary, self-starting initiatives, assertive, flexible, time management, sensitive, Analytical thinker, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
