Vivo Energy is recruiting a Technical Advisor (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • The Technical Advisor (TA) role is a key role in the Commercial lubes organization supporting the growth agenda in the Lubricants sector . This role is responsible for all aspects of business technical within Vivo Energy Operating Unit (OU), specific in all customers’ sites to drive and support the development and implementation of technical programs
  • Built rapport and networks both internally & externally and establish effective working relationships to understand customer needs
  • Provide general technical support to the sales force in order to maintain and gain business
  • Prepare customer plant/equipment audits, lubrication surveys, value improvement audits, product rationalization studies as necessary to support the overall business strategy
  • Drive and have demonstrated value records for OU specific singed of by customers and documented
  • Drive the effective development of local opportunities within existing customer accounts. Facilitate interface with VEN Technical skill pool, OEMs and other industry bodies on product issues
  • Support the business with sales execution of the Fuel & Lubes marketing/business plan Be responsible and proactive in managing HSSE issues that affect the individual, the office/field environment and customers
  • Providing innovative and quick solutions to technical issues
  • Conduct field visits to different customer sites across all sectors
  • Prepare customer plant/equipment audits, lubrication surveys, product rationalization audits and conduct field trials
  • Be prepared to travel 60 % of the time
Requisites
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Chemistry or comparable technical background skills Experience in a technical environment in the fuel industry will be an added advantage. Must be mature, assertive, outgoing, able to work independently & under pressure, and thrives on challenges
  • Good capabilities in leading and developing teams
  • Strong commercial & marketing acumen
  • Experience in front line technical environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Have engineering knowledge in oil industry or transport, or related discipline
  • Computer Literate; MS Office, Outlook, Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, JDE Valid driver’s license
