Team Member – Global Trade

Description

• Job grade: C2 (Patterson grading)
• Provide support to the Head of Trade in managing trade finance products for wholesale banking clients. Develop and implement strategies to increase trade finance income and business volumes, while ensuring compliance with statutory and legal requirements

Duties

• Drive the growth of trade finance income through marketing and selling trade finance products to targeted customers
• Re-engineer and roll out customized trade finance products to existing clients
• Collaborate on departmental budgets and monitor performance against set targets
• Maintain existing client relationships while acquiring new business from the market
• Ensure compliance with statutory and bank regulations in trade finance operations
• Work closely with internal business units to develop plans supporting future trade finance requirements
• Support Relationship Managers in marketing customized trade finance products
• Conduct market intelligence on trade finance products and pricing to keep the bank competitive
• Prepare and deliver presentations to customers on trade finance solutions

Requisites

• A Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Management
• Professional certification is an added advantage
• A minimum of 2 years of banking experience, with a focus on sales or credit
• Must be Namibian
• Skills & Abilities:
• Strong understanding of trade finance products and market trends
• Proven sales and marketing skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth
• Excellent relationship management and client acquisition skills
• Ability to deliver presentations and communicate effectively with customers
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for market intelligence
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage competing priorities
• Must be a self-starter
