Old Mutual is recruiting a Team Leader Surveyor, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Manages Operational Budget
- Manages delivery of specialist team in support of business objectives
- Responsible to deliver on operational projects within field of expertise
- May be personally responsible for some technical deliveries
- Extensive Experience in day to day management
- Establishes and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders
- Builds and manages external relationships
- Individually accountable for customer/client service delivery through efforts of others
- Accountable for others time tasks and output quality
- Balances own priorities with directing and motivating others
Requisites
- Namibian Citizenship
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Appropriate Insurance qualification
- 5 Years Commercial Underwriting experience
- Interpretation of architectural/engineering drawings and application of occupancy codes
- Interpretation of Rasional Designs and related change of occupancy codes
- Proper knowledge of National Building Regulations and application thereof with the ability to identify shortfalls or non-compliance
- Proper knowledge of general Municipal Ordinances and Regulations
- Basic knowledge of building construction related to: high rise buildings with basements
- LV & HV electrical systems, plumbing systems, sewer systems, storm water systems, fire reticulation/suppression, etc.
- Basic knowledge of general corporate & commercial business operations and processes in Namibia
- Proper knowledge of photovoltaic installations and operations
- Proper knowledge of mining operations, processes and activities
- Minimum qualification of Higher Certificate in Fire Technology or similar IFE Level 3 qualification with minimum 120 credits
- Fire Fighter I (NFPA 1001) Certificate
- Fire fighter II (NFPA 1001) Certificate
- Advantageous:
- Hazardous Materials Awareness Level (NFPA 472)
- Hazardous Materials Operational Level (NFPA 472)
- Hazardous Materials Technician Course (NFPA 472)
- Fire Service Instructor 1 (NFPA 1041)
- Diploma in Fire Technology will be an advantage
