Nedbank is recruiting a Team Leader: Loans Administration (CIB and BB), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To provide superior client service through regulated processes and procedures and to deliver team results through enabling others
- To ensure that relevant process is administered, maintained and supported to meet the requirements of the department and business in line with the Nedbank strategy
Duties
- Review and approve all application forms, supporting documentation together with collateral before approval of disbursement
- Instruct the drafting of facility letters, loan agreements and the required collateral per loan application
- Review, ensure completeness/correctness, and approve all completed collateral documentation
- Overseeing the release of collateral against proper authorization
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting as requested by management
- Authorize relevant transactions (including but not limited to loading of limits and interest rates; Client change profile, loans account opening,
- changes in Flex, etc.)
- Reject any application that does not pass Quality Assurance and follow-up for correctness thereof
- Liaise with Credit Managers in regard to loan condition
- Liaise with Relationship Managers regarding any issues and queries from the QA process
- Identification of key risks and mitigating controls in the area of responsibility and ensure all risks are assessed on an ongoing basis
- Liaise with guarantees department on the issuance of property guarantees relating to the registration of covering bonds
- Closure of any accounts either paid-up or cancelled
- Manage and administer guarantees
- Ensure that all loan instructions are done promptly
- Suspense account management
- Operational Loss Reporting
- Actively ensure improved processes are implemented according to policy, and SOP, in order to achieve clean audits
- Prevention of financial losses through active management of the end-to-end loans processes
- Timeously responding to queries
- Effective management of team members, including performance and consequence management
- Management of Auditors’ Bank Confirmations
Requisites
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Educational Requirements:
- 25 points (Matric)
- Diploma/Degree in Business/Financial Management or related studies
- Minimum Experience Level:
- Minimum of five (5) years banking experience with administrative procedures
- Flex Cube System experience
