Namib Poultry is recruiting a Supervisor: Water Treatment, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Assist Water Treatment Specialist and Project Manager: Infrastructure to organise Water Team Staff and
maintain equipment and machinery.
- Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist Water Treatment Specialist in running Water Treatment Plant
- Maintain & service pumps; Boreholes; Equipment; Switchboards; Sensors
- Repair Pipelines; Manifolds; Pressure Reducing Valves
- Organise work schedule & services for Backhoe Loader and Water Truck
- Co-ordinate work schedules and monitor tasks for Water Plant Workers
- Assure that stock levels of chemicals & spares are maintained and recorded
- Liaise with contractors that need to come out to site for minor works on WP
- Attend to Call Outs for Water & Electricity Emergencies
- See to it that Plant & Infrastructure is in a neat working condition
- Be organisational link between Water Team & Water Treatment Specialist
- Carry out ad hoc tasks associated with the Water Department
Requisites
- Grade 12. (NQF 4)
- Technical Qualification: Mechanical or Electrical (Fitter & Turner/Mechanic/Electrical
Qualification will be advantageous)
- Two (2) years of experience working in an Industrial Setting
- Proficient in English, being bilingual will be highly advantageous
- Valid Code BE driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Namibian citizen
- Willing to work shifts (Day/Night), Weekends, public holidays, and overtime when
necessary
