Swakop Uranium is recruiting a Superintendent: Plant Reliability, in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Duties
- The implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) philosophies, strategies and techniques related to reliability of components, equipment and processes, and to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect business operations, in order to support the continuous achievement of the Swakop Uranium annual and long term Operational targets
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop, recommend and implement strategies for improving equipment and process reliability
- Lead the formulation, planning and implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) on the mine to achieve Swakop Uranium’s (SU) operational targets
- Review and recommend procedures and decision criteria in line with best practices for implementation of reliability management
- Manage the application of RCA/RCM to minimize costly equipment failures and downtime through precision monitoring of operations
- Monitor and quantify reliability cost savings, increased production and/or equipment life cycle costs
- Review, recommend and implement improvement of specific maintenance tactics, systems and standards.
- Develop, Plan and execute reliability projects, inclusive required contractor management
- Manage reliability improvement of all equipment within the processing plant
- Investigate and resolve user problems, initiate system corrections, monitor and expedite system changes-in-progress and test corrections and enhancements
- Create and implement RCM implementation plans and objectives
- Implement and assist with cost control and continuous improvement measures to support lowest Total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Analyze data, report and investigate causes of delays and deviations and implement action to optimize process performance and efficiency targets
Requisites
- B.Sc, B. Eng or BTech Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 8 years’ experience in a Processing Maintenance environment of which
3 years should have been in a managerial capacity
- A Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
- Asset Management systems experience and application
- Sound experience in the application of RCM/RCS/FMEA analysis especially availability/reliability modelling
- Registration with a professional body will be an added advantage
- Valid Code B/BE Driver’s License
