SHEQ Manager (m/f)

Duties

• Coca-Cola Beverages Africa requires the services of a SHEQ Manager, reporting to the Manufacturing manager. The SHEQ Manager will be responsible for managing the SHEQ function to ensure full compliance with all local, BP and KO requirements related to quality, health, safety, and the environment
• Lead and guide the plant operational teams in delivering the SHEQ business objectives through good performance management and development of SHEQ capability within the organization
• Ensure individual goals and KPI’s are aligned to Country goals
• Monitor and report on SHEQ goals and objectives
• Ensure that ingredients, product and package quality standards are monitored and controlled according to legal, internal and Coca-Cola requirements
• Ensure Good Laboratory Practices are implemented in the Laboratory
• Lead in the implementation of Quality at Source in the plant
• Quality Assurance
• Manage Integrated SHEQ systems for the plant
• Manage SHEQ budget
• Initiate and facilitate Continuous Improvement practices and provide support in ensuring that the plant’s sustainability goals are met

Requisites

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field (BSc)
• Master’s degree in Science (MSc) or Food Science will be an added advantage
• At least six (6) years working experience in a relevant SHEQ role in the food industry three (3) years of which should be in a supervisory role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
• Excellent analytical, planning and organizing skills
• Proven track record of Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental Management
• Team player
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications
