Swakop Uranium is recruiting a Senior Officer: OD, in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Description
- Coordinate activities and processes related to the organisational development and capacity building environment such as performance management, succession and talent management, job evaluation and design, workforce planning and organizational design; designing and implementing career development plans, Skills Development programmes administering competency assessments and ensure compliance with the Affirmative Action
Duties
- Conduct annual evaluation of OD initiatives implemented in terms of its effectiveness
- Coordinate all activities of OD Officers to ensure OD strategy is implemented and executed
- Assists with compliance reviews to ensure performance plans, progress reviews, and summary ratings comply with policies and procedures
- Check that performance management templates are updated annually, with business objectives and behaviors that will drive values and initiate programs to sustain the desired behaviour
- Ensure that all Job descriptions are up to date and that all employees have a signed off job descriptions
- Coordinate all activities related to the Succession Planning and Talent management
- Assist with the annual planning of Workforce plan by verifying current complement with new complements required
- Maintain and update the organizational structure ensure correctness and accuracy
- Ensure SAP alignment to all complement, structure, title changes
- Assist the EUD’s with the construction of all in-house assessments to ensure adherence to the code of conduct for assessments
- Coordinate and /or supervise all activities related to assessment and ensure OD officials are properly trained to administer assessments
- Coordinate and Supervise the Bursary scheme in terms of submission of academic reports, payment of invoices and arrangements for internships
- Ensure Graduate reviews are scheduled and any short comings of performance are addressed at the appropriate levels
- Ensure that understudy and succession programmes are adhered to
- Coordinate all activities related to Affirmative Action
Requisites
- Grade 12 plus BTech/Bachelor Degree in Industrial Psychology or relevant Human Science degree
- 5 years’ experience in the Organisational Development field of which 2 years should be in a Senior / Supervisory capacity
- Experience in coordinating performance management processes, succession and talent management, workforce planning and organizational design
- Experience in designing and implementing individual development plans
- Experience in coordination of Skills Development programmes such as Graduate and Bursary scheme and internship programmes
- Valid Code B/BE Driver’s License
