Agra is recruiting a Senior Manager: Information Technology, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The successful incumbent will be based at Corporate Office and report to the General Manager: Finance
Duties
- Formulates and implements long-term business systems and infrastructure strategy
- Releasing the full potential of all IT resources to maximise the return on investment
- Ensures availability of all information technology services (business systems, data lines, servers, networks)
- Optimising the current IT infrastructure (optimising budget and time of information technology staff)
- Management of staff members in the IT department (effective recruitment, talent retention and development)
- Responsible for drawing up and effectively managing the overall IT budget
- Supplier management concerning IT
- Expert advice on any IT related matters to management and EXCO
- Ensures that effective back-up processes and disaster management procedures are in place
- Ensure optimal, effective, relevant cyber security
- Manage risks pertaining to IT environment
- Oversee the maintenance of business processes and procedure manuals
Requisites
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant information systems/ technology experience, of which 5 must be at a senior management level
- Experience in more than one ERP system will be an added advantage
- Hands-on involvement and experience in the implementation of an ERP system and project management
- A thorough understanding of business processes in Retail and Wholesale environments
- Attributes:
- Namibian citizenship
- Understanding of basic accounting
- Advanced computer literacy
- Ability to think strategically
- Hands-on experience in compiling operational and capital expenditure budgets
- Proficiency in English (written & spoken)
- Proven exposure to and experience in the above responsibilities
