PWC Namibia is recruiting a Senior Associate: Forensic, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution
Duties
  • Investigate allegations of fraud, corruption and mismanagement as member of a forensic team
  • Place investigations’ results into proper context and report thereon
  • Capturing, sorting and electronic manipulation of financial data
  • Recording and assessment of findings
  • Interviewing and liaison with clients and prospective clients together with senior team members
  • Verifying recorded transactions and follow-up work as required
  • Use feedback and reflection to develop self awareness, personal strengths and address development areas
  • Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
  • Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends
  • Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance
  • Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice
  • Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives
  • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others
  • Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
Requisites
  • Must be a Namibian Citizen
  • Must have a B. Com, B.Acc or Forensic qualification
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the Forensic field
  • Thorough understanding of the law of evidence, specifically relating to documents
  • Be prepared to travel within Namibia and other African countries
  • Must have a keen interest in further developing fraud investigations, litigation support and fraud prevention skills
  • Excellent analytical and interview skills
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to deal with a pressurised and stressful environment
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
