Description
- Komatsu Namibia (Pty) Ltd is seeking a passionate Sales Representative with at least 5 years experience in mining and construction, Motor industry, Agricultural industry, OEM experience such as aftermarket sales or Industrial goods
Duties
- Safety, Health, and Environment:
- Remains up-to-date with safety procedures
- Plans for safety events and campaigns
- Takes SHE into account in the planning of work output
- Implement the Komatsu Way 5Ss - sorting, organising, cleaning, ordering and training
- Adheres to SHE policies and procedures
- Instructs / imparts knowledge and procedures to colleagues
- Checks that subordinate staff have understood safety instructions
- Complies with and instructs colleagues and subordinate staffing the wearing of protective gear and clothing
- Participates in workplace safety events
- Stays informed about emergency first aid kits/fire extinguishers and evacuation procedures
- Operates any company vehicle (truck, car, forklift) within safety standards and procedures, even when not supervised
- Implements safety awareness in all activities
- Checks that safety signs and signals are in place
- Reports hazardous situations, incidents or accidents
- Equipment Sales:
- With input from regional/head office, drafts sales plan /forecast with commensurate. visits, activities and targets for defined products, customers and/or geographical areas
- Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders (internal and customer) in sales
- Facilitates the unit sales process in conjunction with all internal stakeholders
- Increases visibility of the Komatsu brand at customer sites
- Collates and gathers information for use in sales analyses, such as customer information and history, sales information, market information, Komtrax data, Parts usage, etc
- Identifies & collates competitor information in order to understand their business & marketing strategies, defining market size & share by competitor, product benefit analysis, and if possible pricing
Requisites
- Grade 12. Diploma or degree will be an added advantage
- 5 years’ sales experience in mining and construction, Motor industry, Agricultural industry, OEM experience such as aftermarket sales or Industrial goods
- Valid Driver’s License
- MS-Excel (Master), SAP VMS (Unit Sales ordering), MS-Word (Intermediate), workshop orders, goods issue
