Telecom is recruiting a Sales Representative, in Windhoek and Katima Mulilo, Namibia.
Description
  • The purpose of this position is to sell TN Products and Services across all market segments/areas and optimize revenue targets
  • A Sales Representative is responsible for pro-active sales to TN’s new and existing residential, SOHO and Small enterprise customers through ‘door-to-door’ sales and cold-calling lead generation methods as well as sales events
  • The holder of this position is responsible for selling TN’s product to customers, collecting and processing payments made by customers, and resolving their complaints and disputes

Duties
  • Pro-active sales of TN’s products and services by cold-calling and door-to-door visits of TN’s new and existing residential, SOHO and Small enterprise customers and sale of products to customers
  • Promote and sell new products, make presentations to new and potential customers in assigned area
  • Identify and assess opportunities for the sale of ‘specialized’ products and trigger these opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and follow-up till sign-off
  • Follow-up service delivery from customers’ perspective in close coordination with Back-office
  • Identify up- and cross-selling opportunities with existing customers and trigger these opportunities
  • Effectively manage customer complaint/query/dispute remediation with assistance of Back-Office
  • Ensure alignment with Telecom Namibia’s image
  • Balance delivered services against billed services and submit applications to Back-Office
  • Manage and collate customer data (with regards to preferences, tendencies and pre-sales/sales activities)
  • Re-check suspended customer list to ensure it is up-to-date and communicate changes to Back-Office
  • Administer customer survey and provide feedback given by customers with regards to products and services to Commercial Manager
Requisites
  • A Grade 12 with 4-6 years of experience in the sales / marketing of Telecommunication products
  • OR
  • A Diploma with focus on telecommunications: 2-3 years of experience in the sales / marketing of Telecommunication products
  • OR
  • A Diploma with focus on Sales / Marketing: 2-3 years of experience in the sales / marketing of Telecommunication products
  • Basic experience and technical expertise in communication technologies, high-tech products, and communication infrastructure with special regard to telecommunications
  • A Code BE (Old Code 8) Driver license is a definite requirement
  • Key Knowledge Required:
  • Good knowledge of applicable TN’s standards / guidelines
  • Very good knowledge of all TN’s sales processes in the context of sales to residential customers (contracting, negotiating etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of TN’s products and services
  • Basic knowledge of CRM, Accounting and Billing Systems
  • Basic Knowledge about complaints/query/dispute resolution process
  • Good knowledge on competitors’ offering, Basic technical knowledge regarding products, services and technologies

  • MS Office application / computer literacy
  • Very strong sense of customer centricity and orientation
  • Ability to identify customers’ needs and provide matching product and/or service

  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Salary will be on lower Basic pay of 60% of minimum of C3 sub-grade approved scale
  • Higher Commission Rates on gross sales starting at 80% attainment of target and capped at 5 %
