MVA Fund is recruiting a Rehabilitation Case Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • The successful candidate will ensure timely and quality rehabilitation is given to persons injured in motor vehicle accidents for successful rehabilitation goal attainment i.e. return to independence, school, work and community
  • (Paterson Job Grade C4)
  • Duty Station: Ongwediva Service Centre
Duties
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation plans for clients requiring rehabilitation plans
  • Monitor status of individual rehabilitation plans and make necessary recommendations
  • Facilitate return to work/school/community for injured persons by implementing their rehabilitation plans
  • Liaise with medical services and government ministries to ensure that claimants are supported in their return to community
  • Conduct home visits to seriously injured clients to ensure proper integration in community after discharge
  • Interpret clinical information on file and medical reports and advise on treatment plans
  • Ensure that Medical Service Provider rates are in line with NAMAF rules and codes
  • Ensure claim forms are duly completed with all relevant information
  • Compile monthly reports on the Rehabilitation Plans implemented
Requisites
  • Competencies and Skills Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in the following areas Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years working experience in health sector, case management or medical aid environment
  • High degree of integrity and the ability to work efficiently in high demand and fast paced environment. Must have a Code B, driver's license
  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
