Description
  • To plan, build, optimize and implement innovative quantitative analytical methodologies, procedures, and advanced mathematical models that provide analytical support and interpret insights, to address business opportunities and problems and implement business strategy, with minimal guidance

Duties
  • Focus on providing optimal services and improving service delivery processes to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation
  • Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
  • Develop new insights into situations and apply innovative solutions to make organizational improvements
  • Develop and assist in scoring models to be used in-house for credit approvals.
  • Utilize, refine, and enhance advanced statistical models and data analysis to inform decision making and address business needs
  • Implement localized Analytics strategy to address business needs, under limited supervision
  • Assist in the delivery of value-add outputs across the analytics value chain in delivery of business strategy
  • Contribute to creative business solutions, optimization of processes and conduct statistical modelling and data analysis to inform strategic decisions, under limited supervision
  • Assess own performance through seeking timely, and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
  • Develop, encourage, and nurture collaborative relationships within Nedbank Namibia and Nedbank South Africa
Requisites
  • Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Essential Qualification:
  • Relevant Degree in Mathematics, Stats, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, or Actuarial Science, relevant Honour’s Degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum Experience Level:
  • Minimum of three (3) years general banking environment, with exposure to loans and advances portfolio management, unsecured and secured credit score cards, pricing models, impairment models, Loss Given Default and Probability of Default models
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a data environment
  • Sound computer and administration skills as well as an excellent knowledge of the Bank’s products and systems
  • Valid driver’s license (BE)
