FNB Namibia is recruiting a Quantitative Analyst, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To plan, build, optimise and implement innovative quantitative analytical methodologies, procedures, products and advanced mathematical models that provide analytical support and interpret insights, to address business opportunities and problems and implement business strategy, with minimal guidance
Duties
  • Mine and analyse structured and unstructured data and translate it into an understandable and manageable format to inform and enable creative and effective business solutions
  • Build and implement innovative quantitative analytic methodologies, procedures, products, and models within a broad framework to enhance and inform strategic decisions in the FirstRand Group
  • Translate business requirements into tangible data solutions
  • Ensure the development, alignment, and implementation of end-to-end processes within area of accountability for continued process improvement
  • Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership in area of expertise
Requisites
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in one of the following (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Physics or Actuarial Science)
  • 1 – 3 years relevant experience
