Nedbank is recruiting a Quantitative Analyst, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To contribute to the development and maintenance of best practice models and assessment strategies in line with regulations (where applicable) in order to facilitate world class risk management
Duties
- Focus on providing optimal services and improving service delivery processes to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation
- Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
- Develop new insights into situations and apply innovative solutions to make organizational improvements
- Develop and assist scoring models to be used in-house for credit approval in conjunction with Group
- Utilize, refine, and enhance advanced statistical models and data analysis to inform decision making and address business needs
- Implement localized Analytics strategy to address business needs, under limited supervision
- Assist in the delivery of value-add outputs across the analytics value chain in delivery of business strategy
- Contribute to creative business solutions, optimization of processes and conduct statistical modelling and data analysis to inform strategic decisions, under limited supervision
- Assess own performance through seeking timely, and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
- Develop, encourage, and nurture collaborative relationships within Nedbank Namibia and Nedbank South Africa
Requisites
- Minimum Experience Level:
- Minimum of three (3) years general banking environment, with exposure to sales, electronic banking environment will be an added advantage
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a data environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at a junior specialist level
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred Qualification:
- Relevant Degree in Mathematics, Stats, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, or Actuarial Science, relevant Honour’s Degree will be an added advantage
