Bank Windhoek is recruiting a Properties in Possession Administration Officer, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Responsible for the overall administration of the residential, commercial, and industrial properties bought in at a Sale in Execution as “Properties in Possession” (PIP’s)
Duties
- Property Management:
- Ensure that all properties bought in by the Bank at a Sale in Execution/consent through a Power of Attorney are effectively administrated in compliance with the Bank’s policy and authority matrix
- Administration and liaison with Bank’s conveyancing lawyers to transfer the properties in the name of Bank Windhoek within the regulatory timeframe
- Ensure the vacant properties are secured by security guarding and no vandalising takes place
- Effective key management and control of all vacant properties
- Manage property rentals by close liaison and control over the rental management of all vacant properties and administered by external and approved service providers
- Establish and maintain relationships with tenants by effectively address tenant complaints, violations, and problems
- Ensure that regular inspection of all properties is done by the contracted service provider
- Coordinate the applications for building compliance with Municipalities to ensure an effective and successful conveyancing process
- Timeous arranging of payment of all invoices related to the maintenance of the properties
- Compliance, Risk and Support:
- Efficient administration of legal actions and internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the Bank’s risk framework to minimise risk on the PIP’s
- Collaborate with Legal Branch and Conveyancing Lawyers in managing all risks related to all PIP’s
- Provide support and guidance to various stakeholders such as branches, attorneys, etc. on risk matters related to the PIP’s
- Customer Focus:
- Effectively provide guidance to branches and individuals on any enquiries regarding PIP’s
- Ensure that all expenses related to PIP’s are authorised and maintained within the Authority Matrix
Requisites
- Experience / Skills/ Knowledge:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial industry, property management or conveyancing processes
- Understand the Conveyancing and Banking Institution Acts regarding PIP’s
- Excellent knowledge and experience of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/MS outlook
- Good knowledge and understanding of Property in Possession administration
- Valid Driver’s License – not negotiable
