FNB Namibia is recruiting a Project Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To direct and coordinate projects by applying governance structures, methodologies, reporting dashboards and relevant project management applications to ensure project objectives are met
- To manage resources throughout the different project lifecycle stages and manage project prioritisation on departmental and divisional level
Duties
- Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
- Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate critical concerns to senior management when needed
- Budget Management:
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, compliance, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management
Requisites
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Project Management, Computer Science or a related field
- An honors or post graduate degree is preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on core banking projects
- Certifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
