FNB Namibia is recruiting a Project Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To direct and coordinate projects by applying governance structures, methodologies, reporting dashboards and relevant project management applications to ensure project objectives are met
  • To manage resources throughout the different project lifecycle stages and manage project prioritisation on departmental and divisional level
Duties
  • Project Leadership:
  • Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Planning and Execution:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate critical concerns to senior management when needed
  • Budget Management:
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, compliance, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management
Requisites
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Project Management, Computer Science or a related field
  • An honors or post graduate degree is preferred
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on core banking projects
  • Certifications:
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
