Rossing Foundation is recruiting a Procurement Assistant, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- A vacancy exists for Procurement Assistant, reporting to the Manager: Administration and Finance at the Rössing Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative support for Rössing Foundation’s procurement department through inventory monitoring, ordering supplies, and scheduling deliveries to ensure
that the necessary materials are available
- Key performance areas:
- Administering the full procurement supply chain processes in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
- Preparing the inventories and maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems for entering the records and checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders
- Meticulously follow robust procedures to identify and procure relevant goods and services. Ensuring that the products and/or services are of high quality and reasonably priced for Rössing Foundation to unlock
maximum value
- Providing quality administrative and project-related support to the Manager: Administration and Finance, with a high level of confidentiality
- Establishing a suitable record system/database; maintaining
comprehensive and accurate records and database systems and looking for ways to improve current systems
Requisites
- Minimum requirements:
- A relevant Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a relevant related field on NQF Level 6
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in a procurement support environment or field
