FNB Namibia is recruiting a Physical Security Manager (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- To ensure that the Group Physical Security policy is consistently applied and adhered to in order to address and adequately manage physical security related risk within the Group
- Additional Requirements:
- Manage costs/expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
- Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions
- Provide proactive and responsive advice to tenants and staff and to disseminate relevant information on physical safety and security matters
- Be conversant with and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, e.g., Bank Information and Security
- Policies and Procedures, the Security Industry Act where applicable
- Assist with the development of the security strategy and manage the implementation in line with the Group Security Framework
- Manage the inhouse security operations ensuring that all staff adopt a professional approach to their duties and promote a positive image for the Group
- Build sound relationship with external security service providers
- Manage Service Level Agreements
- Liaison with NAMPOL and other law enforcement agencies
- Ensure a high standard of service provision across all buildings by liaising appropriately with all Departments, Divisions
- Development of materials and documentation including minimum standards, templates, guidelines, FAQs, and processes for Security
- Undertake periodic risk management reviews of building security and prepare recommendation reports and action plans as required
- Be fully conversant with security systems including but not limited to access control, alarms, and CCTV systems and to oversee the proper operation thereof
- Manage maintenance of security equipment and systems
- Ensure the incident recording database is kept up to date, providing management information and statistics as required to improve or develop the security systems
- Stay abreast of Industry related security technology and systems
- Perform security risk assessments and submit detailed recommendations as required
- Monitor and manage potential physical and financial risk through communicating concerns and addressing accordingly
- Project manage security related projects in line with standard project management principles
- Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage of a network of experts to ensure communication of solutions, benefits, risks and innovations in area of specialization
- Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development
- Manage team performance in achievement of business objectives
- Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy
- Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
- Manages risks in own area of responsibility
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
- Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organisational values and service standards
Requisites
- Minimum Qualification - Diploma in Security Management
- Experience - 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 2 years ideally at junior (entry level) management level
- 4-5 years of security industry experience at management level In a ccordance with National Credit Act (NCA) candidates applying for this role will require a credit record check
