Bank Windhoek is recruiting a People Risk and Human Capital Governance Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • Responsible for the overall Human Capital risk management function which includes HC related risk assessments, compliance, data gathering, policy development, risk reporting and Individual People Risk assessments
Duties
  • Policy, Process, and Procedure Management:
  • Responsible for the periodic review and update of HC policies, standards and procedures and to ensure they support the HC strategy and comply with laws, regulations and industry standards
  • Support HC Departments with the development and upkeep of flow charts, policies, procedures, controls, and report templates as well as capture and organization of compliance evidence and process documentation, including the regular review of previously created documentation in line with the Governance plan
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the HC governance structure and the adequacy of reporting to ensure it supports the group’s strategies and objectives
  • Operational Risk Management:
  • Support the People Risk Principal Risk Owner with maintaining and executing the Group People Risk Framework
  • Risk and control

  • Support the execution of the HC management strategy in support of the group's objectives and in alignment with the enterprise risk management (ERM) strategy to and enable risk-based decision making
  • Individual People risk assessments, background checking and employee vetting:
  • Verify information on application form
  • Redlist Screening (fraud & forgery from other Banks)
  • Verify qualifications
  • Sanction Screening
  • ITC Screening
Requisites
  • Qualification:
  • 3-year degree qualifying in an operational field like Law, Compliance, Business Management, Accounting, Statistics
  • A Risk Management Qualification will be beneficial
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years Risk Management working experience dealing with Risk Management Processes and Reporting
  • A committed and enthusiastic risk management professional, who is commercially astute and understands the reality of practical business management
  • Experience in managing multiple, concurrent projects and deliverables, with excellent time management, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
