Old Mutual is recruiting an Operations Manager (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Accountable for governance and compliance at an operational and strategic level for retirement fund and related insurance products
- Build relationships with peers, colleagues and intermediaries that impact across business areas
- Makes major operational and strategic decisions within business plan and propose how business plans can be best effectively amended and implemented to meet constant demand and change
- Ensures the effectiveness and appropriateness of operational administration processes
- Manages service delivery through administration teams and provide overall management reports of administration services standards and competitiveness of such services
- Manages relevant administration processes
- Drives operational and strategic excellence and new developments
- Provides operational and best practice context for internal environment and implement
retirement fund and insurance industry regulations and standards
- Drives key performance management and deliverables within administration managers
- Ensures staff are developed and kept up to date with current developments in retirement fund and insurance fields
Requisites
- Must be a Namibian
- Honors in Accounting and Finance, Honors in Business Administration or a relevant tertiary qualification
- Accounting or engineering or processing background will be an advantage
- 5 - 7 managerial and operational retirement fund industry experience
- Managerial experience with the ability to guide, coach and mentor direct reports to ensure overall operational and strategic goals are met
- Must be able to plan, organize and execute tasks at an operational and strategic level
- Must have excellent operational and strategic skills in retirement funds and related insurance product offerings
- Must be a team player and able to work independently without senior supervision
- Ability to work well under consistent pressure
