Hollard Namibia is recruiting an Operations Manager (Life) (OMLFE) (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
Main function of the Role
- Manage operations, underwriting and reinsurance and ensure effective processes for Hollard Life Namibia
Key Performance Areas of the Role
- Provide mandates for the underwriting, operations and reinsurance business units
- Implement processes, monitor new and existing processes and change processes where needed for the underwriting, operations and reinsurance business units
- Develop and implement effective process flows for the business
- Ensure all business systems are aligned towards administrative and business needs
- Monitor and drive the policy administrative system project according to the SLA with the service provider
- Ensure healthy segregation of duties for business units
- Responsible to regulate underwriting principles, guidelines and manuals for business units
- Responsible to look after all company products’ reinsurance and underwriting
- Ensure all reinsurance functions operate within industry and business rules, regulations and guidelines
- Responsible to drive the Retention strategy of the Hollard Life Company for all products
- Any adhoc duties required to assist all Business units in the Hollard Life Company, to achieve the strategic plans and goals set up.
- Drive the Purpose Driven Goals with the relevant Exco member to attain required results for the license
Requisites
- Minimum requirements, knowledge and experience:
- Matric with 25 point or more
- Expert knowledge of insurance products and pricing
- At least 5 years’ experience in managing operations
- Expert knowledge of business systems
- Reinsurance knowledge and expertise will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of business processes, procedures and regulations
