Swakop Uranium is recruiting an Officer: Warehouse (Inventory), to be based in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Description
- To co-ordinate all aspects of inventory control, and to maintain inventory levels needed to meet the required demand of end users
Duties
- Analyse all aspects of inventory control and maintain inventory levels needed to meet the demands of end users
- Review and authorize purchases of goods
- Review out-of-stock situations and request expediting
- Review and confirm requirements quantities with users to ensure procurement of correct materials
- Execute the suggestions of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system, with the purpose of achieving the optimum levels in stock
- Update the planning parameters (re-order point/maximum stock levels) of the material planning operations
- Maintain inventory control systems with the purpose of achieving the optimum levels in stock
- Monitor expiry date rotation, shelf life extensions and stock for inspections
- Ensure that the warehouse management system is accurately updated for all inventory transactions and adjustments
- Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of all inventory at multiple locations in line with the requirements of the operation
- Convert planned orders into purchase requisitions
- Liaise and negotiate with end users regarding incorrect quantities reserved and returns thereof
- Resolve queries with end users regarding deviations on reservations due to unit of issue or any other related problems
Requisites
- Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects
- B- Tech / Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain management or related field
- 3 Years’ general materials, warehouse management and inventory management experience
- Relevant Exposure in the Mining Industry would be an added advantage
- Valid Code B/BE Driver’s License
