Mediclinic is recruiting a Night Duty Nurse (m/f), to be based in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Duties
Main Purpose of Job
- To ensure continuous safe patient care and a positive patient experience by coordinating clinical and non-clinical resources and services at night
Key Responsibility Areas
- Continuously deliver a quality service to patients in accordance with patient safety standards
- Achieve the clinical quality standards according to policies and procedures
- Ensure the optimal utilization and competence of staff whose behavior reflects the organization’s core values
- Ensure continuation of patient care through effective supervision
- Co-ordinate resources efficiently to enhance safe patient care
Requisites
- People Management
- Risk management processes and procedures
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Nursing functional knowledge
- Relevant nursing legislation
- Human resource processes including employee relations
- Complaint management
- Essential Education: B degree or diploma in nursing
- Desired Education: Relevant Management and leadership qualification
- Required Experience
Essential Minimum: 5 years clinical experience as a Professional Nurse
