FNB Namibia is recruiting a Niches Lending and Advisory Specialist (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To proactively acquire new clients and develop, maintain and expand existing client portfolios through the provision of holistic and appropriate lending solutions that solve the needs of clients
Duties
- Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
Requisites
- Minimum Qualification – Relevant Degree in Finance or Economics or Accounting
- Experience – 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior (entry level) management level
- Relevant post graduate qualification (Honours Degree) in Agricultural Economics
- 3-5 years experience in related field
- Develop a deep understanding of the agricultural, franchise and tourism industries, competition and trends across all segments
- Identify needs in Agriculture, Franchise and Tourism and develop products/services/solutions to meet those needs
- Provide support, guidance and advice aimed at minimizing losses during disaster situations
- Facilitates the protection and growth of the FNB market within the Agricultural Segment of the defined geographical area of responsibility
- Identifies risk and opportunities through interaction with role players in the Agricultural Segment
- Keeps abreast of Agriculture policies, strategies and initiatives, both in FNB as well as at a National and governmental levels
- Good knowledge of the banking industry and Agricultural product base
- Sound knowledge of acceptable farming practices
- Knowledge of the critical financial success factors of agricultural enterprises
- Knowledge of Legislation relating to Agriculture
- Knowledge and understanding of National strategies relating to Agriculture and keep abreast of Agriculture policies, strategies and initiatives, both in FNB as well as at a National and governmental levels
- Provides economic, technical and financial information in support of credit proposals
- Identifies risk and opportunities through interaction with role players in the Agricultural Segment
