Description
- Namdeb Diamond Corporation invites interested individuals to be part of alluvial mining operations that offer unique challenges for professionals who wish to be part of a world-class operation
Duties
- To strategically assist Namdeb Mining Operations through the provision of long, medium and short term mine planning to ensure that best mineral resource management practices are adhered to
Requisites
- B.Tech/BSc degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Survey, Earth Sciences (e.g. Geology/ Geophysics or related field) or equivalent
- Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in mining related environment of which two years should ideally be in mine planning and includes supervisory/management experience
- Land-based mining experience would be an added advantage
- Mine Planning 3D Software and ArcGIS is a key competency as well as proficiency in UNIBEST CL++, Xbeach, XBeachG, Delft3D and Python
- Legal requirements:
- Registration with relevant Professional Body (IMSSA, SACNASP, etc.)
- Competent person in signing of Diamond Placer Reserves
