Duties
- Preparation of quarterly, monthly, and weekly mine scheduling
- Ensure execution of mine plans
- Achieve mining production targets
- Ensure mine deployment is within mine design
- Manage all mining resources
- Interprets operational and mining strategy to create effective systems and structures
- Develop relevant sectional policies, procedures, work instructions and technical manuals
- Compile a Risk log and implement a Risk Management plan
- Coordinate monthly surveys and report mining volumes
- Perform non-routine surveys as required
Requisites
- Diploma in Mining/Surveying or similar
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position and work environment
- Experience with open pit mine planning software. Experience with Hexagon MinePlan (MineSight) software will be advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of success
- Valid Code 08 Drivers License
- Excellent interpersonal communication, supervisory and organizational skills
