MVA Fund is recruiting a Manager Treasury, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The successful candidate will be responsible for Investment Portfolio Management and Capital Management i.e., maximizing investment opportunities and mitigating financial risks
- The incumbent will also be responsible for building relationships within the local (Namibia and South Africa) and international financial markets
- Timely and accurate preparation of investment reports in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Duties
- Management of Investment Portfolio: Provide effective Management of Investment Portfolio
- Liquidity Management: Improve liquidity management and reporting by the development of best class liquidity capabilities such as high-quality stress testing and accurate daily reporting of key liquidity metrics
- Coordinate and Analyze Unlisted Investments: Coordinate, research, develop, and implement the Fund’s IPS provisions on unlisted investments
- People effectiveness and administration: Allocate work and responsibilities to optimize utilization of available staff and monitors compliance with standards and procedures
Requisites
- Competencies and Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field
- Internationally recognized Investment Management qualification (e.g. CFA) or professional Accountancy qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA
- ACI Dealing Certificate will be an added advantage
- At least 5 years in treasury, financial services, portfolio management, or banking environment of which 3 years must have been on management level
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS and relevant legislations: Tax Act, Labor Act, SOEG Act etc.
- Proven financial skills
- Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
- High degree of integrity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
