Manager, Investment Banking

Duties

• To develop and implement the strategy of Investment Banking in Namibia and coordinate the origination and execution of investment banking transactions in a timely and professional manner
• To be part of an integrated team to ensure that the necessary processes, tools and systems are in place to facilitate the roll out and implementation of the CIB Namibia Strategy
• To help Standard Bank identify ancillary business opportunities in the bank’s entire value chain
• Lead and participate in the strategic projects, providing bespoke sector and country insights with a strong bias in the Energy and Infrastructure – as well as Mining Sector and provide a professional interface between Standard Bank, internal and external clients and government agencies

Requisites

• Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Commerce, Engineering or related field
• Experience Required:
• Minimum of 5 years working experience preferably in Corporate Banking
• Experience in product, credit and financial analyses
• Financial modelling and valuation skills
• Sector knowledge
• Technical and product knowledge
• Knowledge:
• Ability to select, gather and consolidate financial information from clients to ensure comprehensive financial assessment for feasibility purposes
• Ability to analyse and interpret balance sheets, ratios, income statements and cash flows; and
• Ability to identify the key issues on projects and develop a structured approach to resolving these issues
