Standard Bank is recruiting a Manager, Investment Banking, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- To develop and implement the strategy of Investment Banking in Namibia and coordinate the origination and execution of investment banking transactions in a timely and professional manner
- To be part of an integrated team to ensure that the necessary processes, tools and systems are in place to facilitate the roll out and implementation of the CIB Namibia Strategy
- To help Standard Bank identify ancillary business opportunities in the bank’s entire value chain
- Lead and participate in the strategic projects, providing bespoke sector and country insights with a strong bias in the Energy and Infrastructure – as well as Mining Sector and provide a professional interface between Standard Bank, internal and external clients and government agencies
Requisites
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Commerce, Engineering or related field
- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years working experience preferably in Corporate Banking
- Experience in product, credit and financial analyses
- Financial modelling and valuation skills
- Sector knowledge
- Technical and product knowledge
- Knowledge:
- Ability to select, gather and consolidate financial information from clients to ensure comprehensive financial assessment for feasibility purposes
- Ability to analyse and interpret balance sheets, ratios, income statements and cash flows; and
- Ability to identify the key issues on projects and develop a structured approach to resolving these issues
