Old Mutual is recruiting a Manager: Direct Channel, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Manages the daily running of the direct channel/sales call centre
- Ensure that leads are actively worked on and converted to sales
- Ensuring effective and relevant operational processes
- Leading the implementation of new systems for the direct channel
- Ensuring sensible growth and profitability of the direct channel and managing the loss ratios
- Driving operational excellence and working closely with the Marketing team for campaigns
- Leverage opportunities from other business units
- Making major operational decisions within the direct channel
- Managing operational efficiency and quality, including a balanced score card to achieve business plan
- Keeping and maintaining Standard Operating processes
- Analysis of various reports to take appropriate decisions promptly
- Identify training needs for direct channel agents
- Accountable for governance and compliance at an operational level
- Building relationships with peers and/or colleagues that impact across business areas
Requisites
- Namibian Citizen
- Relevant tertiary qualification; e.g. B.com or B. Business admin
- Business acumen
- Managerial experience
- Computer literacy and good numeric skills are essential with excellent MS Office skills
- 5-10 years of Short-Term Insurance experience
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of general insurance
