Agra is recruiting a Manager: Business Growth & Investments, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • The successful incumbent will be based at Corporate Office and report to the Manager: Finance & Business Development
Duties
  • Formulates and presents feasibility of strategies and all related projects to Manager: Finance & Business Development (and infrequently to EXCO)
  • Conducts feasibility and economic viability studies and writes proposals for projects or business ventures
  • Analysis and assessment of potential strategic projects, including, Market research & analysis and Financial modelling, reviewing and providing guidance on financial models
  • Pro-actively identify, plan, develop and implement strategic projects which includes processes like:
    • Screening
    • Finance options
    • Liaison with various stakeholders
    • Legal assessments
    • Due diligence
  • Evaluate and present new business ventures, to drive, track and update Agra’s strategic projects monthly
  • Conducts post implementation evaluation (feasibility vs. actual) and implements continuous improvement strategies
  • Propose new business models so as to create new ventures and or improve business processes
  • Identifies clients/customers, suppliers and/or stakeholders that could become institutional partners
  • Ensures effective and efficient consultant management (e.g. selection, remuneration, monitoring, contracting and orderly exit strategies) if/when required
  • Sets up and manages the database of clients/customers, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Ensures effective and efficient operations (e.g. administration) within the business development department
  • Actively participates in the Agra management team, as/ when required
  • Contributes to synergistic effects with other Agra divisions and departments
Requisites
  • Namibian citizenship
  • Honors degree (e.g. business management, finance etc), CA, ACCA, CMA or similar qualification, with strong finance background
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification would serve as an advantage
  • Minimum 4 years work experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in different industries, or businesses serves as an advantage
  • Strong numerical, analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office package, Project Management Software, etc.)
