Coca Cola Beverages Africa is recruiting a Machine Specialist, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • Coca-Cola Beverages Africa requires the services of a Machine Specialist, Reporting to the Maintenance Controller
  • The Machine Specialist will be required to maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure that plant availability and product quality is met at minimum cost without sacrificing standards
  • The role also entails providing specialized machine skill and knowledge to the shift team, and to support the operations, maintenance, and problem-solving activities of the shift teams
Duties
  • Evaluate equipment conditions
  • Provide second level support on equipment maintenance and breakdowns
  • Enhance maintenance resources
  • Manage equipment upgrades and technological changes
  • Carry out work during the planned maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule aligned with the Maintenance Controller
  • Apply the correct problem solving methodologies to resolve problems
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement disaster recovery plans
  • Ensure adherence to plant procedures
  • Perform housekeeping
  • Train, coach, assess and mentor, Artisans, and Operators on asset care and autonomous maintenance practices
  • Required to provide continuous improvement initiatives that would enable more cost-effective manufacturing in a highly competitive market
  • Comply with the Company’s quality system / requirements
  • Maintain safety, health, environment, and quality standards
Requisites
  • Relevant qualification (National Technical Diploma – N6 & Trade Tested Artisan –Mechanical / Electrical)
  • Minimum six (6) years proven success experience
  • Relevant Engineering degree (BSc / B.Eng. Mechatronic / Electrical) will be an advantage
  • Intimate knowledge of the beverage manufacturing process
  • Reading and interpretation of electrical/machine drawings, process lay-outs and equipment manuals
  • Maintenance system knowledge
  • Coaching skills
  • Engineering/SHEQ knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC Software in terms of program reading and writing
