Ohorongo Cement is recruiting a Logistics Administrator, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Administrator will be responsible for administrative responsibility in the logistics department at Ohorongo Cement
Duties
- Stock management: do monthly stock forecasting for depots and control bulk cement stock, to ensure stock in silos are replenished and kept at optimal level
- Coordinate the rail operation
- Analyze the logistics procedures
- Provide technical support for development and implementation of logistics procedures
- Initiate and maintain relationships with new and existing Carriers and Vendors
- Maintain updated record of export documents and clearance of export documents
- Ensure ultimate compliance with Customs and Excise
- Responsible for internal and statutory compliance
- Ensure health and safety compliance at the depots
- Ensure that Kriesel and Silo plants maintained as per maintenance schedule
- Responsible for the general administration of the logistics department
Requisites
- Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management
- Technical understanding of the process flow during loading and off-loading of material
- Technical understanding of Customs and Excise procedures
- SAP SD knowledge and experience
- Computer literate with a distinct proficiency in MS Office
- Must have the ability to create a positive, everlasting impression with the most professional, courteous, and expedient manner and continuously strive for superior customer service
- Ability to work under pressure and independently with limited supervision
- Enjoy working with people and be highly tolerant and polite but remain assertive
- Fluency in English is a pre-requisite
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
