Duties
- Work closely with departmental managers and supervisors to ensure that the organisation and its associate entities remain compliant with all relevant regulations, laws and standards
- Act as a liaison between the organisation, its associate entities, and industry regulatory bodies
- Prepare and submit all applications, reports, and certificates as required by relevant governing bodies
- Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements
- Identify, mitigate and manage compliance risks
- Stay informed on the latest trends, developments and best practices in healthcare compliance and implement amendments to the organisation and its associate entities
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate compliance with local laws and industry regulations for the organisation and its associate entities
- Address compliance-related inquiries promptly and effectively
- Any Ad-Hoc duties as may be assigned
Requisites
- Grade 12, a diploma in Business Administration will be an added advantage
- 3-5 years working experience in a health care environment will be an added advantage
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of health care laws, regulations and standards will be an added advantage
- Code B driver’s licence
- Willing to travel
- Non-negotiable competencies:
- Namibian citizen with a National Secondary Senior Certificate & fully proficient in English
- Even-tempered and level-headed individual who easily gets along with people from all walks of life. Individual must be friendly, trustworthy and be able to take initiative or action without constant supervision or instruction
- Sound judgement combined with exceptional leadership and computer skills
- Willingness to work overtime and attend CPD functions or meetings outside normal working hours whenever so required
