Junior Maintenance Planner

• To do general maintenance planning

Duties

• Administrative Duties:
• Assist with management of department’s clocking hours
• Being Responsible for project costing estimation techniques
• Manage projects (including related materials and costs)
• Support the Engineering Manager and foremen as and when required
• Assist with general office management activities
• Assist with budgeting and cost control in the Workshop department
• Being responsible for maintenance system efficacy in working hours
• Being responsible for communication with various managers regarding jobs to be done
• Generating orders as and when needed
• Implement an improved stock managements system in the company
• Technical Duties:
• Become well versed with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation as well as trade specific equipment, parts and tools
• Understand and manage the full electronic maintenance system
• Ensure critical spares are listed and in stock. Ensure correct minimum stock levels. Identify critical equipment and manage stock and failures accordingly
• Ensure correct names and labels on equipment
• Change equipment maintenance according to equipment condition
• Reporting on maintenance costs on critical equipment
• Keep plant drawings up to date
• Ensure new tasks is added to maintenance schedule as required
• Being Responsible for site visits to ensure equipment is in good running condition
• Develop SOP's with regards to maintenance plans for the whole Company and all sites
• Manage all job cards in the Company's system
• Being Responsible for month end reports on adherence to maintenance schedules
• Identify equipment nearing end of life
• Being responsible for root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement improvements
• Keep up to date with changes in maintenance technology. Understand technical jargon with regards to maintenance and spare parts
• Ensure predictive and preventative maintenance is implemented and managed
• Plan projects with Engineering Manager and Project Manager and ensure all systems are in place as required
• Being responsible for training on new equipment to ensure efficiency of personal working on equipment
• Manage the SHE system and adhere to regulations
• Manage all requirements of the department on the Accpac system

Requisites

• Minimum Qualification:
• Grade 12 with Technical Diploma N2 will be advantageous
• 5Years' relevant experience in a maintenance and workshop related environment
• Accpac System knowledge
• Other:
• Knowledge/experience in CAD knowledge/experience in AccPac/Service manager Crystal/SQL knowledge/experience in PLC/SCADA Systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Ignition)
• Namibian citizen
• Proficiency in English
