Momentum Metropolitan is recruiting an IT Technician (m/f), in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The Information Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks. Supporting and maintaining in-house desktops, computer systems, and peripherals
- Install and configure hardware, operating systems and applications and monitor and maintain systems and networks, providing IT support to users
Duties
- Maintain and support local area network infrastructure in the organization according to IT plans and policies
- Management of IT equipment in the organization
- Perform new software and hardware installation and configuration
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and network problems
- Installation, configuration and backups of Notebooks, Desktops
- Provision of end-user training
- Printer maintenance and IT inventory management: To log and manage all calls, service requests and incidents from end-to-end, including escalation to third parties, follow up and feedback to users
- Perform standby duties as required
- Compile and manage IT service-related documentation, administration and reporting where applicable
- Attend to other related admin ad-hoc tasks that may arise
Requisites
- Grade 12 with 25 IGCSE points with -A+ and N+ certificate
- 2 - 3 year’s relevant experience in a user support core function with
Microsoft 365, Office 365 Suite and Ethernet Network
- Code BE valid driver’s license
Competencies
- Proficient with the Microsoft 365 environment, including Azure/AWS
- Knowledge of printers, networking, computer/server/maintenance
- Excellent interpersonal skills and portray good self-image
- High levels of personal ethics, integrity and emotional maturity
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Able to work well under pressure and independently
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
