RFA is recruiting an Independent Co-Opted Audit, Investment, Risk, and Compliance Committee Member of the RFA Board (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- To fulfill oversight duties and responsibilities for the financial reporting process and the system of internal control as a co-opted Board Member on the AIRC Committee of the RFA Board
- To ensure that the internal auditing activity process is effectively managed and is operated to highlight the risk areas in the organization
- To provide an oversight function of the external auditing of financial statements
- To ensure the organisation’s process for monitoring compliance with laws and regulations, the system of risk management, the investments, and the reporting responsibilities are implemented effectively considering the control mechanisms and rules of corporate governance
- To review significant accounting and reporting issues, including complex or unusual transactions and highly judgmental areas, and recent professional and regulatory pronouncements and understand their impact on the financial statements
Requisites
- Qualification Requirements:
- A Master’s Degree in Accounting Business Management/Commerce or similar qualification, Namibia
- Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 9
- Qualification as Chartered Accountant
- Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of working experience, of which five (5) years at the senior managerial level in a financial environment
- Previous Board experience would be an advantage
