Namibian Institute of Pathology Limited is recruiting an ICT Technician - PEPFAR (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The purpose of this position is to support the SMS Printers deployed in the clinics for result delivery to reduce turnaround times. The incumbent will be required to travel to the peripheral sites for support and maintenance of the printers, training of health workers and maintaining the SMS printer portal
- The incumbent will also provide a 2nd Level support for end users to receive support and maintenance within the NIP’s desktop computing environment regarding LAN network connectivity, desktop/laptop, peripherals and application support. This also includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problems (in person, by telephone, or via remote software tools) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required
Requisites
- Relevant National Degree in Information Technology or Degree with specialization in Information Technology
- Grade 12 and valid industrial certification such as MTA / MCSA, A+, N+, Security+ and at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Code B Driver’s License
- Computer literate
- Proficient in written and spoken English, good communication and listening skills, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, coordination and time management skills, prioritizing skills
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11, MS Office 365, and basic network skills
- Personality traits: Assertive, emotionally mature, service oriented, helpful, innovative, patient
