Nedbank is recruiting an ICT Shift Supervisor, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To apply skills to monitoring online/ batch /ATM's/POS/tape library functionality on various platforms and escalate outages under supervision and guidance within the Command Center
  • To ensure SLA's are met to minimize the impact of operations on the bank under supervision and junior operators
Duties
  • Ensure back-end programs are online within specified time lines and do batch processing as per internal process, procedures and standards through manual and/or automated daily checks
  • Ensure online availability for new day as per Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) through completion of batch schedules
  • Monitor availability of ATMs/POS and distributed environment (Servers / 3rd party links/ Card systems)
  • Mitigate risk by capturing all outages and taking ownership of monitoring and escalation
  • Report on starting, ending and updates of planned and/or emergency changes
  • Understanding critical paths that leads to back-end online programs availability through monitoring batch processing
  • Resolve problems by analyzing and interpreting alerts, failures and impacts
  • Mitigate risk through applying emergency or relevant procedure as per outage
  • Comply with risk standards by escalating abnormalities
  • Provide operational support to relevant clients by monitoring the transfer of files from and to 3rd parties
  • Coordinate flow of work and hand-overs between 24/7 shifts operations to ensure continuity
  • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impact on role by reading the relevant newsletters, websites and attending sessions
  • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders
Requisites
  • Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Preferred Qualification:
  • Grade 12 (25 points).
  • Must have completed A+/N+ Certificates or an IT Diploma
  • Minimum Experience Level
  • Must have 1-3 years IT experience and 2-3 years Core Banking Operations/Mainframe Experience
  • Change Management and Incident Reporting will be an added advantage
