Nedbank is recruiting an ICT Shift Operator, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The primary purpose of this position is to ensure continuous monitoring and availability of all Banking Systems, Interfaces and Channels
- Escalation of potential outages on monitored platforms to relevant owners and Business Units
Duties
- Perform all relevant technical Banking Operator Functions
- Ensure continuous service availability
- Responsible for all Batch Operations on shift. Arrange for corrective action where necessary to ensure system accuracy
- Escalate and resolve according to laid down procedures to meet agreed SLA
- Monitor all Systems, Channels and Interfaces 24/7
- Monitor daily clearing and acknowledgement of EFT, Cards and any other deemed applicable for successful daily settlements between Nedbank
- Namibia and Industry partners
- Perform regular health checks on the Core Banking Systems to detect problems early and ensure optimal and correct performance
- Provide operational support to relevant clients by monitoring the transfer of files from and to 3rd parties
- Ensure correct, clear and concise information flows expediently out of the Command Centre to inform all relevant parties of situations so that appropriate corrective action can be taken speedily
- Coordinate flow of work and hand-overs between shifts to ensure continuity
- Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor or relevant Management
Requisites
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Preferred Qualification:
- Relevant IT Diploma/Degree
- Minimum Experience Level:
- 1-2 years IT or Banking experience
