Rössing Uranium is recruiting a Human Resources Officer, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- A vacancy exists at Rössing for a Human Resources Officer, reporting to the Human Resources Team Lead
- The role is responsible for the coordination and execution of every aspect of the employment process and ensure compliance with the relevant Rössing policies and procedures
- Assist with employee relations, organizational development, remuneration and benefits activities and initiatives as and when required
Duties
- Maintaining and improving safety, health and environmental standards and practices
- Facilitating, coordinating and executing all activities related to the recruitment and selection function
- Liaising with line leaders and facilitate the review of job descriptions and send to the OD section for verification and compliance
- Drafting advertisements and liaising with print media for placement of vacancies
- Administering the logging to placement and onboarding, including reference checking and qualification verification process on new recruits
- Attending to and resolving recruitment related complaints
- Effectively coordinate induction programs and exit processes
- Coordinating and facilitating the understudy and individual development planning process and subsequent reviews
- Maintaining comprehensive HR Administration records as required and generate required reports and statistics, including analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of HR processes and providing recommendations for improvements
- Providing first line human resources assistance to employees on queries related to full Human Resources functions
Requisites
- Grade 12
- A recognized Bachelor’s degree/B-Tech in Human Resources Management/ Industrial Psychology Human Resources (NQF Level 7/8)
- Or
- A recognized National Diploma in Human Resources Management/ Industrial Psychology (NQF Level 6)
- Bachelor / BTech degree: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources as a Generalist at a professional level in the areas of HR administration, Recruitment, Selection and Organisational Development
- National diploma: A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Human Resources as a Generalist at a professional level in the areas of HR administration, Recruitment, Selection and Organisational Development
- A valid code B driver’s license
- A Police certificate of conduct not older than six months is required. A record will not automatically disqualify candidates
