Description
- Job grade: D-Upper (Patterson grading)
- Access Bank Namibia is looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Retail Banking to oversee our retail business within target markets. The successful candidate will provide direction and supervision of the Country’s retail strategies, ensuring alignment with Access Bank's overall goals
Duties
- Formulate and review short, medium, and long-term strategies for the Retail Banking Business in line with the Bank’s strategic plan
- Establish and agree on targets for Retail Banking by products, region, and
branches
- Develop and implement strategies for the Retail Banking division
- Define marketing and sales strategies for Retail Banking
- Develop and maintain customer relationships in collaboration with Commercial and Institutional Banking divisions
- Approve and supervise business plans and activities for Product Heads to
achieve division targets
- Monitor and report on the performance of all Retail product offerings
- Create a customer management framework driven by customer insights
Requisites
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a relevant Master’s degree is an advantage
- A recognized professional certification will be an added advantage
- Possess a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Retail Banking, with at least 5 years in a management role
- Excellent customer relationship development/management
- Strong strategic Orientation
- Advance selling skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Namibian Retail market
- Basic Banking Operations and Products Knowledge
- Proficiency in English and any other local language will be an advantage
- Namibian citizen or permanent citizen
- Required Skills:
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Strong strategic orientation and advanced selling skills
- Excel and presentations skills
- Knowledge of the Namibian retail market and basic banking operations
- Proficient in product knowledge and environmental/industry analysis
