Head of Channels

• Job grade: D-Upper (Patterson grading)
• Access Bank Namibia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Channels to lead the development and implementation of our alternative payment solutions, with a focus on electronic cards and digital banking platforms. The ideal candidate will drive growth through strategic partnerships, innovative product development, and effective customer management

Duties

• Develop and manage products and services across remote touchpoints such as ATMs, cards, e-banking, and m-banking platforms
• Identify and implement alternative payment solutions to enhance customer experience
• Formulate strategies for growing the electronic cards and alternative payment channels business
• Drive market penetration and customer base growth, aligning with the bank’s retail strategy
• Manage strategic alliances and partnerships, overseeing vendor services and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Co-develop marketing and sales strategies for Cards & Channels products in partnership with the Retail Banking Division
• Define operational guidelines for electronic and mobile banking services

Requisites

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. A professional qualification or Master’s Degree will be an added advantage)
• Possess 6-8 years of experience dealing with electronic cards and channels within the financial or payments sector, including a minimum of 5 years in a team leadership capacity
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Namibia payments landscape and alternative payment products
• Strong alliance management and customer relationship development skills
• Creative thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
