Capricorn Group is recruiting a Head: Engagement Diversity Equity and Inclusivity, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- The purpose of this role is to lead and support Capricorn Group’s DEI Programme and Engagement initiatives to enable a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. This role is also accountable for driving employee engagement

- Role Requirements:
- Accountable for driving employee diagnostic surveys
- Analysis of employee engagement data as input into our EVP
- Work closely with the HR Business Partners to champion employee engagement initiatives across the subsidiaries
- Ensure that proposed interventions cover all employee life-cycle practices
- Advise on interventions to ensure engagement is sustained across the employee lifecycle
- Work on projects with cross-functional teams to enhance the employee experience
- Reporting and monitoring progress on Employee Engagement
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:
- Role Requirements:
- Responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing all efforts related to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace
- Develop and lead the DEI Programme as a strategic imperative for the Group
- Work closely with the HC team and leaders to ensure the DEI agenda is successfully implemented in line with business objectives
- Ensure the framework is embedded in all HC practices, policies, procedures, and the entire employee lifecycle
Benchmark best practices and keep abreast of diversity-related trends and legislation
- Promote and develop training programs to enhance employee understanding of inclusion
- Develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives, optimizing all efforts to make the workplace more inclusive and equitable
- Act as DEI Programme Manager and oversee the implementation of the DEI plans of the entities
- Report on overall DEI Programme progress to Board and Exco

- QUALIFICATIONS & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Psychology/Human Resources
- Honours Degree would be an advantage
- Eight years’ experience in organisational development
- Understanding the banking industry and exposure would be an advantage
- Three years’ experience in a senior DEI position
- Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation i.e., Employment Equity
