MVA Fund is recruiting a Head: Corporate Communications (Paterson Grade D1), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The successful candidate will implement and execute the activities of corporate communication to ensure appropriate portrayal of the Fund’s corporate image, the writing of information and relevant communication material for strategic interventions/campaigns to enhance the desired image of the Fund
Duties
- Key Performance Areas:
- Maintain and uphold the Fund’s brand image in line with the Corporate Identity (CI) manual
- Create and maintain mutually beneficial stakeholder relationships to achieve the desired stakeholder satisfaction levels
- Implement the Corporate Communication Strategy and public relations activity plans
- Prepare speeches for events and media releases
- Ensure advertorials and any written materials are drafted in line with set standards
- Reviews internal publications and ensure layout and content is in line with set branding standards
- Develop the Fund’s Stakeholder Management Strategy and oversee its implementation
- Oversee stakeholder events management process in line with best practices of adherence to protocol and diplomacy
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategy
- Oversee administration of the website and related digital platforms
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of social media, and recommend appropriate improvements
- Monitor spending and ensure budget control
- Provide continuous leadership, guidance, motivation, and coaching
- Monitor and assess individual performance of direct reports and recommend growth and career development
Requisites
- Competencies and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies, Marketing, Communication studies or any other relevant degree
- Minimum three (3) years working experience in a similar environment of public relations, marketing, public education, stakeholder management, or corporate communications, of which two (2) years would be at supervisory level
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Good project and people management skills
