Description

• The purpose of this position is to design, engineer, plan and implement IT applications, solutions, and respective infrastructure in alignment with business strategy and the direction set by the governance bodies to achieve the business strategies and objectives
• The position is also responsible for project management, timely and within budget execution and coordination of all projects related functions for all projects within the IT, Security and Applications domains under this position
• The Head Business Information and Technology develops a strategy / tactical plan for the Business Information and Technology and aligns it to the business strategy, digitalization roadmap and the business requirements
• This role manages, coordinates, and guides all resources within the Business Information and Technology department
• REPORTING TO: CHIEF TECHNICAL & INFORMATION OFFICER

Duties

• Develop and enforce Business Information and Technology Department annual operation plan and budget aligned to annual corporate business plan and budget of the company
• Align Business Information and Technology strategy (short-, middle- and long-term) to business strategy and business requirements and monitor implementation
• Manage business information and technology performance
• Planning, resourcing and management of IT Applications, Solutions, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics and Services to support business strategy and objectives
• Designs, engineers and implement IT Solutions and Services that fit to the blueprint, digitalization roadmap and business plan
• Build, acquire and implement IT Applications to support business innovation and strategy
• Developed IT Master plan and IT services and Products in compliance with the IT Master Plan and product catalogue
• Identify IT Applications and IT Services & products requirements, acquire the technologies, and add it to the product catalogue for sale and for company’s use on current business processes
• Delivers IT Applications and Services & solutions that involves areas such as the availability of the applications as well as the support processes required to enable the effective and efficient use of these applications by the business and the customers
• Assesses and establish the relevance of the current IT Applications and IT Services & Products portfolio meets the business strategy and objectives for which it was designed and the controls necessary to comply with regulatory requirements
• Conduct independent assessment of the effectiveness of IT system, Services and Products in its ability to meet aligned to Annual Corporate Business Plan and Budget
• Ensure Security of IT Applications and networks security
• Plans and tests Service continuity and verifies the prevalence of business requirements and Ensure Security of information, processing infrastructure and applications to meet business needs
• Align Enables and support business processes by integrating IT applications and technology into business processes
• Operate, support and maintain the IT Solutions and Services and definition of SLA where applicable, Provide Virtual
• ISP services and Value-Added Service to TN products
• Manages knowledge, expertise, and initiatives to support business Innovation
• Ensure delivery of the correct training and skills development to Business Information and Technology Department staff

Requisites

• The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors in Engineering Degree or a Degree in Telecommunications/IT/Computer Science and a professional engineering registration with at least ten (10) years experience in relevant telecommunication IT Factory/Business Information and Technology environment of a carrier/service provider with focus on services/IT/infrastructure with a least five (5) years’ experience on a management level
• A Business Management qualification (i.e. SMP) and a Minimum Code BE Driver’s Licence
• Key Knowledge Required:
• Extensive knowledge of product development and service quality, broad understanding of the service setup and underlying network IT blocks
• Sound knowledge of service design and IT technology layout
• Sound knowledge of TN’s technical and economic aspects of networks, products / services and IT landscape
• Sound knowledge of IT related standards, specifications, procedures and guidelines, very good knowledge of competitors services / products and network / IT landscape
• Good knowledge of carrier / NGN network and related IT services /systems / platforms
• Good knowledge of performance management
• Basic knowledge of TN standards
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project (or equivalent) application
• Basic knowledge of regulatory / legal environment
• Knowledge of SLA Management and Fluent in English language (spoken and written)
