Capricorn Group is recruiting a Head: Alternative Assets - Fixed Income, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Is primarily responsible for the sourcing and management of all Alternative Asset and Unlisted debt instruments. Analyze various investments and evaluate suitability for inclusion in the CAM and Caliber Capital portfolios and execute all documents related to the transaction
Duties
- Portfolio Management and Investment Evaluation
- Evaluation of application with reference to:
- Financial Analysis
- Credit evaluation in line with Macro Economic view
- Deal Structuring and preparation of credit approvals
- Compliance
- Credit Monitoring
- Ensure all documentation is up to date and stored in secure manner
- Monitor on an ongoing basis compliance with the approved transactions terms and conditions and escalate any deviations to the Chief Investment Officer
- Conduct due diligence on prospective investee companies
- Collateral Management
- Oversee the monitoring and periodic review all counterparties
- Compile and analyze monthly/quarterly exposures
- Member of the Credit & Compliance Committee
- Monitor market events that may possibly impact on exposures
- Monitor portfolio cash flows and administrative matters
- Source potential transactions
- Caliber Capital:
- Responsible for the ongoing management of Caliber Capital with specific reference to:
- Governance and compliance monitoring with fund mandate and trust deed
- Subscription, drawdown and cash management of fund
- Engagement with regulator
- Preparations of Board of Trustee meetings
- Arrange annual Caliber AGM
- Perform Investor updates in terms of reporting and presentations to Pension fund trustees and consultants
- General:
- Monitor trade execution and capturing
- Supervise daily portfolio pricing and valuations
- Assist various sales teams with presentations and attend client feedback sessions
- Mentor Guide and delegate efficiently to the team

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial services industry with specific credit management experience
- Bank credit background will be an advantage

- B. Com preferably in Banking, Economics, Statistics
- Attorney will be an advantage
